2-3 feet of snow fell at Tahoe ski areas. Impressive photos from Heavenly:
This is from the primary impulse associated with the atmospheric river (AR). It’s now moving east through Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado with moderate to heavy snow accumulation at ski areas.
The snow stake at Snowbird, UT shows about on 10″ of new snow. It’s less than I was forecasting yesterday, but could still add a couple more inches today before the flow dries up.

Looking down the road, the next storm system arrives on Halloween (10/31) across the Intermountain West. You can see it in my snow forecast above and I labeled the storm system in the infrared satellite below.
This active storm track for the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia should deliver 1-3 feet to the highest peaks/volcanoes including Rainier and Whistler/Blackcomb high alpine.
